Felt, and Silk

Make Dust!  That's all I have to say!  And I am finding it everywhere!  Especially after cutting out these three pieces.

'Best Friends', with her tiny doll in her arms, 'In the Garden' with her little petaled dress, and 'Sisters' have left me in a cloud of dust.  And once I get it all vacuumed up, there will be sawdust!  I have to make 20 of those little wheel barrels!   It never ends.  Maggie keeps me busy.  Idle hands and all that.   Not to mention dinner. Maggie and Emily have terrible colds so its been soup, soup, soup.  One more bowl and I am going to scream!  Better come up with something fast, the dinner hour is upon me.
 thanks for listening.  Tony

Back to Work!

Time flies, and so do the felt scraps around here.  Maggie and I got home last night from Orlando where it was warm and sunny.  And reality struck with wind and ice as we pulled into the driveway.  So today we are regrouping, travel just takes it out of you these days.
The IDEX show was great, even though we had problems with the winter storm getting there, once we were set up in our booth it all went smoothly.  Everyone loved Maggie's four new dolls.  And to our amazement there are still collectors who have never seen her work up close.  Even though our banner says 'Expressions in felt,' they still walk up to take a closer look and cannot believe, 'that's felt?'
Our Event at IDEX was so much fun.  100 guests received a little boy in blue.  Maggie asked Amy to write a poem, Emily took that and made a movie with Maggie narrating.  It is charming.  If you want a copy email me for details.
You have probably all seen the new photos at the website under the 'What's New' listing.  I still have to write up wonderful descriptions for our webmaster so the front page of the site can be updated.  But I think I may just spend the rest of the evening doing something simple, putting socks and shoes on 60 'Best Friends.'   That is all my brain can handle right now....except for the fact that it is time to make dinner.  So its time to take the maggiemade hat off and put on the chef's hat.  After four days of eating out with waiters bringing us plates of food I better do more than spagetti....maybe garlic bread too.
Take good care, Tony
